Shahbaz Tariq, with a vast experience of 20 years, teaches Computer Science at Karachi Grammar School, Bahria College, Discovery Centre and Beaconhouse School.

Shahbaz completed his Masters in Computer Science (MCS) from Karachi University. His research interests include wireless sensor and ad hoc networks, Internet of Things (IoT), distributed algorithms, mobile and distributed systems, and cloud computing. Currently, he is working on algorithms for finding efficient virtual LAN topologies, opportunistic networks heuristics for ‘dial a ride’ problem, applications of random walk in large-scale wireless sensor networks and exploiting EFI vehicle’s sensors using onboard diagnostics.

Shahbaz Tariq is also an IB certified Examiner and also supervises CAIE and Edexcel IT examinations since 2014.

He has also worked as a Software Engineer at Al-Sorayai-Jeddah-K.S.A. His responsibilities included managing, designing and developing different departmental software using visual tools – System’s Database designing, testing, System Analysis designing, resource management, application coding using visual tools, implementation of applications, De-Bug reporting, generation of test specification, development of scenarios, training of junior programmers , end users and novice users.

Shahbaz likes to play football and cricket and enjoys keeping up with current world affairs in his spare time.
